Introducing environmentally-friendly proposals is one of the main points of our Sustainable Urban Mobility Plan. We have set goals to make Jerusalem a more sustainable and better place for living. We aim to reduce dependence on private vehicles in the city of Jerusalem by transforming its urban spaces and adapting them to walking, as well as riding bicycles, electric Buses, and other environmentally-friendly vehicles.
How to rent an e-bike?
E-Bikes & bicycle paths
With the help of BYPAD, we will create policies and that will help us to improve the lack of bicycle paths and city bike stations.
Creating more bicycle routes
Creating bicycle routes connecting neighborhoods and the city center, as well as business and leisure centers. Especially around Jerusalem park. This will include paving bicycle routes and transforming 20-35% of the streets into bike lines.
Installing E-Bikes
Inspired by Citybike in Vienna, we will install e-bike stations that will allow locals, commuters as well as tourists to easily create an account within just a few minutes and rent an e-bike for a reasonable price.
Introducing Smart Traffic lights
As a part of ICT, we want to introduce a smart traffic control system that prioritizes cyclists and pedestrians at junctions. This will highly motivate people to bike or walk and will reduce the amount of traffic within the city of Jerusalem.

PEdestrian areas
By creating more pedestrian zones, we are aiming to lower atmospheric emissions as well as road accident rates, but primarily, to provide better accessibility and mobility for pedestrians.
Build wide sidewalks and quiet pedestrian areas.
Turn 10 streets into pedestrian streets and support businesses, such as bars and restaurants on those streets, to create a center for human interaction.
Creating pedestrian lane networks
Creating more pedestrian networks that will be connecting parks and most popular tourist destinations will encourage locals, visitors, and tourists to walk instead of using their personal cars or public transport. This doesn’t only have the potential to improve health but also to reduce the traffic in the city of Jerusalem.

Inspired by Sustainable Bus, we want to introduce Electric Buses that will be transporting people around and within the city of Jerusalem.
Introducing Electric Buses
Electric Buses have many advantages that overcome their costs and are the perfect substitute for normal city buses. We would like to replace most at least ¼ of the normal buses with electric buses, to reduce noise and air pollution.
