Infrastructure

It is very easy to move around Jerusalem without a car. Buses and trains are everywhere in the city.

Egged buses

All buses in Jerusalem are operated by the company Egged. Their buses are mostly green, although some are white with red stripes. Egged operates a very large route network centered around Jerusalem's central bus station and the city center (the area around King George and Jaffa streets).

The Jerusalem light rail is a tramway with the characteristics of a light rail system that serves the city of Jerusalem and part of the West Bank. According to Geo magazine, it carries 130,000 passengers a day. 

The first part, 13. 8 km long, was commissioned on 19 August 2011.

The length of the line is 57 kilometers and includes a significant number of technological developments designed to ensure a fast and comfortable journey.

It is a railway line that connects the cities of Tel-Aviv-Jaffa and Jerusalem in Israel, under construction since 2001
